We are so grateful for Arna being a part of our community. Working with her is truly lovely. Thank you, Arna 💕 K4P's 2022 Annual Report and Mission Statement Updates Vision: We envision a world where every person has access to warm clothing and items of comfort and dignity. Mission: Knitting4Peace connects service-minded makers who create and deliver handcrafted necessities to families and communities in need, at home and abroad. In 2022, we worked hard to meet the growing need. As international travel resumed, we were able to work with more volunteers to send items to 20 countries. We also delivered record amounts of cold weather items to communities across the Denver Metro Area as well. With your help, we can continue this good work. As the world changes, we must evolve. Therefore, based on the information in our Annual Report, and the need to have a more clear objective, the Board of Directors has updated our Mission and Vision Statements. Rest-assured, our goals and programming remain constant. You will see these updates statements These changes allow us to better acknowledge the community of makers who make K4P possible and help us to better align with nonprofit benchmarks set forth by organizations like CANDID and Charity Navigator. Please view our 2023 Annual Report HERE. If you have questions please email kelly@knitting4peace.org. Where to Send or Drop Off Your Items ![]() Mail or bring items to: 2600 N. Leyden St., Denver, CO 80207 Ring the doorbell and you will be let into the church to drop off your items. EACH mailed box or dropped-off bag must include a note with the DATE, NAME, MAILING ADDRESS, E-MAIL, AND PEACE POD. Please note: Our donation intake is run solely by volunteers. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to immediately acknowledge each package as it arrives. Remember, you can always track your package with your carrier. Remember, mailing costs qualify as tax-deductible nonprofit donations. Keep your receipts! Due to a lack of storage, K4P cannot accept yarn donations unless they are new and still in the original wrapper. Thank you for understanding. Item Requests: Finger Puppets & Mittens/Gloves To meet our community's needs in the coming months we are asking our Peace Pods and makers to make mittens and/or gloves, as well as finger puppets. We frequently run out of these 2 items and we are trying to build up our inventory before cold weather hits. Can you help? You can find mitten and puppet patterns on our website HERE. ![]() ![]() Are you ready to support the mission of Knitting4Peace?
