Entry of visit dates enables Rural Health West to distribute schedules to local health service providers, and to redistribute funds where changes to visits or cancellations occur. Outreach Management System upgrade Over the next three months, Rural Health West will be implementing changes to the Outreach Management System. These changes have been designed to improve the usability of the system and to make the reporting process easier and more efficient for service providers. Further information will be announced closer to the launch of the updated system, including training sessions and a user guide. Rural Health Outreach Services Program Evaluation The Australian Government Department of Health has engaged Health Policy Analysis to evaluate the Rural Health Outreach Services programs nationally. The evaluation includes the following programs: • Medical Outreach Indigenous Chronic Disease Program The evaluation will assess the efficiency, effectiveness and appropriateness of the Outreach programs. The intention is to evaluate the outcomes of the programs to inform future policy rather than to assess the performance of individual Fundholders or service providers. The evaluation is being conducted between now and September 2022. As part of the evaluation, Service providers and stakeholders of the Outreach programs may be contacted initially by the Regional Services team on behalf of Health Policy Analysis to contribute to the evaluation. team on Aboriginal Health Conference 2021 - registrations now open! Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November 2021 The 2021 Aboriginal Health Conference hosted by Rural Health West will celebrate culture, strengths and successes in Aboriginal health – a time to reflect on achievements so far and how we can address the challenges. The conference will provide a space to rejoice and reconnect with colleagues after a challenging year in terms of environmental impacts and the COVID-19 pandemic.
