International Women's Day
International Women's Day (IWD), celebrated annually on March 8, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for advancing gender equality. In 2026, IWD marks an extraordinary milestone: 115 years of collective action, advocacy, and progress toward gender equality. The IWD 2026 theme is Give To Gain, emphasising the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving
is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise. Celebrate IWD 2026 with a biography from inspiring women who have given their time, knowledge, leadership, and voice in sharing their stories.

The book of hope : a survival guide for an endangered planet by Jane Goodall
This is an important book for EVERYONE to read! It is inspiring to see how much each one of us can do to make our world a better place in small but meaningful ways - life changing for children too! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Gone before goodbye by Harlan Coben & Reese Witherspoon
Just an entertaining read (are they hoping for a screen play?). Modern read if you like American espionage, spy thriller etc complete with Russian Oligarchs, biker gangs, AI & grief bots! Unusual combo of writers - Coben & Witherspoon but I enjoyed it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Skull River by Pip Fioretti
Excellent reading! Very well researched and written. Great follow up to Bone Lands, and gives great insight into rural Australian life over 100 years ago. I hope that Ms Fioretti writes many more books. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Somewhere beyond the sea by T J Klune
An absolutely beautiful sequel to The house in the Cerulean Sea, a story of hope and light that will fill your heart. ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2
