Black History Month: Action and Allyship with Author Valerie Jerome

In recognition of Black History Month in February, our CHS community had the privilege of hearing from athlete, coach, educator, author and activist Valerie Jerome on two separate occasions: at the CHS Parents’ Auxiliary Book Club to discuss her book Races: The Trials and Triumphs of Canada’s Fastest Family, and in a Senior School assembly. Creating Space for Vulnerability: Wellness Week with the Senior School Wellness Committee

How can we continue to foster authentic, open conversations about well-being at CHS? What does well-being mean to our students? These questions are at the heart of discussions amongst the newly-formed Senior School Wellness Committee, and underpin last week’s Wellness Week focused on “Vulnerability and Authenticity.” Learn more.

Winter Bazaar: 2024 Thank You
Crofton House School and the CHS Parents' Auxiliary are pleased to celebrate the 2024 Winter Bazaar with proceeds going to support our community partners: the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre and Women Leaders of Tomorrow. The Parents' Auxiliary is grateful to the 2024 co-chairs Vivian Ma, Stephenie Gold and Carol Wang and the Bazaar’s executive team, including Heather Brunt, Karine Lin, Ming Liu, Ruby Ren, Gitanjli Sood, Ruby Tian, Yan Zhang and Emily Zhong, and all the volunteers, for their service and commitment, and to all those who attended and helped make this such a special event!
Support the Backpack Drive – Donate and Volunteer Today!

The PA’s annual Backpack Drive is back! Each year, CHS families and the PA team up to provide backpacks and essential school supplies to local children in need. Donate today to support this meaningful cause. We also need volunteers to help pack and deliver the backpacks. Come with your daughter to lend a hand at our Backpacking Event on Tuesday, April 15! Join us for an afternoon of discovery at the PA’s first ever Multicultural Celebration! Come with your family to explore the engaging exhibits and interactive activities at curated booths created by members of the CHS community. Get Ready for the Spring Used Uniform Sale!

Mark your calendars for the next Used Uniform Sale on Wednesday, April 9 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Heritage Dining Room of the Old Residence. Help us prepare for the sale by donating clean, gently-used uniform pieces with the current school logo. Donation bins are located at the Junior and Senior School entrances, as well as the receiving entrance on Balaclava Street.
