Proposed 2026–27 fees and charges

Decorative

We’re seeking your feedback on proposed AICIS fees and charges for the 2026–27 registration year (1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027). The proposals aim to support the long‑term financial sustainability of our scheme and comply with the Australian Government Cost Recovery Policy.

Key proposals:

  • One‑off 90% discount to the 2026–27 registration levy (to reduce unplanned surplus funds in our cash reserve) and reinstate the pre-2026–27 levy charge in 2027–28, including deferred indexation.
  • Simplify certificate applications by reducing application types from 5 to 3 and increase fees to recover the full cost of processing and assessing applications.
  • Apply indexation only to other fees for services, with no changes to their structure.

Open for comment until Friday 15 May 2026.
