National Mental Health Commission Update

17 November 2020

2020 has been a tough year for Australian businesses and workers, with many impacted by COVID-19, bushfires, flood and drought.

To support the mental health and wellbeing of all Australian workers and to encourage mentally healthy workplaces during these challenging times, the Commission, in conjunction with the 15 national organisations in the Mentally Healthy Workplace Alliance and Ahead for Business, have created a series of evidence-based, easy-to-use guides.

This set of three resources provides practical information and support to sole traders, small, and medium to large businesses on ways to manage mental health at work during COVID-19. They convey the importance of protecting people from harm by managing workplace risks and promoting wellbeing through good work.

These guides have been created by a team of experts to offer tips and advice on helping employers and employees look out for signs that someone may be experiencing mental ill-health or is seeking support, and assist them to find help when they need it.

We encourage you to access the resources and share them with your colleagues and in your networks.

Stay safe and well.
