The Midsumma Festival Live at the Bowl line-up is HERE!

Celebrating diverse journeys and communities, Midsumma Festival Live at the Bowl will host a soirée of FREE queer live entertainment and a spectacular line-up of live performance, comedy and music at the iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Fri 30 April and Sat 1 May. 

The second and final allocation of tickets for Midsumma Festival Live at the Bowl will be released at 12pm on Friday 9 April. Set an alarm, because you won't want to miss out! Tickets via midsumma.org.au

DOLLY DIAMOND'S STAR FOR A NIGHT​
Dolly Diamond is making dreams come true this Midsumma Festival! She’ll be rescuing contestants from their mundane lives, transforming them into their idols and making them stars for a night!

GODDESS GROOVES @ CHAPEL PRESENTS LOVE REWIND​
A showcase and a celebration of some of our community’s finest singer/songwriter musicians brought together in one evening of scintillating musical entertainment.

GODDESSES OF JAZZ @ CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL​
Join talented local performers Maude Davey and Ruth Katerelos as they again join forces, and take over Chapel off Chapel for one glorious Sunday, and two performances of their Goddesses of Jazz Cabaret. 2 May, tickets from $30 available here.

SCOUNDRELS: A BOYLESQUE MUSICAL

For all the sporty folks in our communities, we've got a few events at Midsumma Festival just for you! We've got two events from The Nomads Outdoor Group, an all-ages day at Richmond Lawn Bowls and Serve It, Smash It, Love It, a free Badminton intro course!

Visual Art Exhibitions at Midsumma Festival

If you're hoping to see some visual art this Midsumma Festival, you're in luck! We have plenty of exciting art exhibitions happening over the course of the festival. So grab a wine or a tea, put on your best arty outfit and get ready to view some seriously great, seriously queer art. 

Check out PINK 2021 - a group exhibition celebrating bodies, objects and urges at Tacit Art Gallery. There's Realness, which will be queering the digital photographic medium at Bunjil Place. You could see Cleave, a video artwork that question issues of agency, pleasure and autonomy at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre. Or even Contemporary AF, exploring queer dreams and desires at Mission to Seafarers.

Sam I Am explores the experiences, memories, and unknowns that a boy from the inner Western suburbs of Sydney must learn to embrace as he accepts and defines his identity. 

Written and performed by Sam Martin, one of our wonderful Midsumma Pathways participants.

This is a Protest Party!

Serving post-punk, anti-glamour realness, F*ck Fabulous is a radical, multi-artform, variety show with it’s tongue firmly planted in it’s cheeks.

Bringing together fierce queers, femmes and rebels in a show that celebrates female-masculinity, rejoices in gender-queer visibility and celebrates femme identities in diverse bodies.
