 Executive Director

Welcome to the first edition of the Building Better Lives newsletter for 2023!

In this edition, we're showcasing a range of our services and programs that highlight work we're doing with low-income families, women seeking to get back into employment, and households struggling to manage the latest energy price increases.  In all cases we aim to build their capability and assist in their journey out of poverty.

We introduce Nyakuoth in our Autumn Appeal

Nyakuoth and her husband and baby son came to Australia as refugees in 2004 from South Sudan. They were grateful to be in a safe and peaceful country. But Nyakuoth had no family here and didn’t speak English, and the Melbourne suburbs were so different from the home she’d left behind.

When you give a gift to BSL you are helping to ensure that all families have access to the support they need to build better lives for themselves. Please give a gift today.
