US President Donald Trump has insisted that he is feeling “much better” after being diagnosed with COVID-19. However, conflicting reports continue to flow about his condition since his hospitalisation on Friday – and he is heading into a crucial few days. We know that Trump’s wealth and privilege offer him an amount of protection from this virus. On the other hand, he is 74 years old, which puts him in a high-risk group.
And while the president is unwell, a dangerously unstable situation is unfolding back at the White House. His campaign will be looking for ways to ensure his illness doesn’t completely destroy his
chances of re-election.
Elsewhere, we take a closer look at Australia’s model of shipping asylum seekers to offshore locations and why it isn’t one that Britain should emulate. And as coronavirus continues to spread in universities, we find out how the switch to online teaching can deliver students better value for money.
