Did you see the news? Chris just announced a historic fundraising milestone, raising $2.2 million in just 40 days during the initial phase of his gubernatorial campaign. This remarkable achievement highlights the widespread and enthusiastic support for Chris’ leadership and vision across Georgia - we are looking forward to what is next.
#2 AG’S OFFICE GANG & HUMAN TRAFFICKING UNITS FEATURED IN STATE OF THE STATE
On January 16th, Governor Kemp delivered an exceptional State of the State Address, where he highlighted the impactful work of Chris’ Gang & Human Trafficking Units. In less than two years since its inception, the gang prosecution unit has convicted over 50 gang members, with dozens more awaiting trial. Georgia is a safer place thanks to Chris Carr.
#3 IMMIGRATION REFORM IS ON THE HORIZON
In his first days in office, President Trump has made clear that illegal immigration is his top priority. Chris wrote an op-ed on this topic last month and looks forward to working with the new administration to remove violent gang members who are here illegally.
Chris has actively sought justice for Laken Riley since her tragic murder by an illegal alien just a year ago. He spearheaded a 26-state coalition urging the U.S. Senate to pass the Laken Riley Act, a landmark bill requiring the detention of undocumented individuals charged with theft-related offenses. Chris also called on Georgia senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to support this legislation, which was officially passed on Wednesday of last week. Now headed to President Trump’s desk for signing, the Laken Riley Act represents a significant victory for Georgia and the nation.
