Junior ROWITA Fellowships are funded through the support of individual donors. To contribute, please visit our donation page. The St. Johns Cultural Council announces its Fourth Annual Haiku Contest, now open to St. Johns County residents of all ages until March 1st. Poets are invited to submit up to three original haiku following the theme of William Bartram's Travels in St. Johns County, so works should be inspired by the flora, fauna, and ecology of the County’s natural landscape, especially along the St. Johns River. A selection committee will choose three First Place haiku, one each in the following categories:

The St. Johns Cultural Council will host a group exhibition at the Rotunda Gallery of the St. Johns County Administration Building, St. Augustine, Florida from April 16th through May 30th, 2024 that celebrates the 250th anniversary of William Bartram's travels in St. Johns County. We invite artists 18+ to submit up to five original works in any style or medium inspired by the flora and fauna of St. Johns County’s natural landscape, especially along the St. Johns River. CALLING ALL CREATIVESPlease join us for our first Creative Social Hour on Tuesday, February 13th from 5-6 PM at The Waterworks, 184 San Marco Avenue. All creatives - visual, literary, performing, culinary, and artists of any other genre - are invited to attend. We will share information about our new artist advisory board, support available through the Cultural Council for individual artists, and an opportunity for you to share suggestions on ways that we can assist you. Each monthly event will include a brief program that will educate, entertain, or provide opportunities for networking and collaboration. Refreshments will be provided, and free parking is available in the lot adjacent to our building. RSVP is not required but is appreciated. WINTER GAMBLE ROGERS CONCERT SERIESThe Live from The Waterworks concert series is dedicated to celebrating the influential recording artist Gamble Rogers, whose balladry and storytelling have greatly influenced American folk music. These concerts take place on the third Saturday of each month at 7 PM. Premium ticket packages for the Winter series are SOLD OUT.
