Welcome Back to Campus!

The Chapman Community Garden is located in the Davis Quad and provides a space for Chapman students to grow their own fruits, vegetables, flowers, and more. The Office of Sustainability will provide soil, tools, water, and seasonal gardening guides. Students can reserve one of the 16 plots in the garden by completing the reservation form, which opens Tuesday, August 30th, at 8 AM. Reservations are first come, first served, so act quick! You can reserve a bed as an individual or in a group of up to six people. Email sustainability@chapman.edu with any questions.  

The Office of Sustainability attended the Student Services Fair on August 25th to share some educational resources on our initiatives and events we hold throughout the year with first-year students. Students played our "Bin It to Win It" waste sorting game to win eco-friendly prizes such as bamboo toothbrushes, reusable produce bags, and shampoo bars. For those who have just moved into Chapman’s residence halls or a new place near campus, we suggest you consider ways to reduce your environmental impact and make your living space an eco-friendly one! The Office of Sustainability's annual survey gives us an understating of the student, staff, and faculty habits and opinions when it comes to sustainability at Chapman. Please use this survey as an opportunity to share your thoughts on how we can make Chapman more sustainable.
