![]() Short Mental Health Interventions: Reflective Writing for Clinician Wellbeing | Webinar Joining Dr Jan Orman for this session is an extremely well-known GP with a gift for writing and a passion for teaching. Dr Hilton Koppe has used reflective writing for decades as a personal wellbeing strategy and has become celebrated for the writing workshops he presents to health professionals both in Australia and abroad. Hilton will talk about how he has benefited from his writing practice and what we can do to help set up such a practice for ourselves. Mental health is the number one reason people see their GPs*, yet GPs are time poor and wait times to see psychologists are long. The need for mental health care is growing faster than specialised support and services are, leaving a gap in patient care. This webinar series aims to provide GPs and other health professionals with skills to ‘fill the gap’ in providing mental health care to their patients using a range of brief interventions. Each webinar will be a discussion about the specific intervention and tips on how to use it effectively with your patients ![]() Annual General Practitioner Survey now openThe yearly GP survey conducted by Rural Health West provides valuable insights into the state of general practice in Western Australia's rural and remote areas.
