Bring your friends and whānau, and be part of creating a better future for Cashmere Stream! Saturday 24 June 2023 Bring your friends and whānau, and be part of creating a better future for Cashmere Stream! Getting to the planting site There is currently only one access point to the planting site via the driveway at the north end of 428 Cashmere Road. There is no parking available at the planting site. We recommend parking at the Hoon Hay Basin carpark (opposite 683 Cashmere Road) and taking the free shuttle bus to the planting site. The shuttle will leave the carpark at 9.30am, 10am, 11am, 12pm and 12.30pm. Alternatively, there is limited on-street parking and a footpath to the planting site from Cashmere Road, near Happy Home Road. Please note, there is no footpath along Cashmere Road between the Hoon Hay Basin carpark and the planting site, so walking is not advised. Other info If the weather is bad, we’ll postpone to Saturday 1 July. Please bring sturdy footwear, gloves, clothing for the conditions, a spade if you have one, snacks and drinking water. Timelapse showcases wetland construction from the ground upTwo years of progress on the $50 million Te Kuru Wetlands has been captured in a new timelapse video. The timelapse from April 2021 to February 2023 taken by contractors Grounds and Services Limited shows a section of Quarry Road Stream in the foreground, with Hoon Hay Basin in the background.
