From 24 April 2024: Changes to categorisation, reporting
& record keeping requirements
After extensive public consultation, we're pleased to announce regulatory changes to categorisation, reporting and record keeping requirements will start on 24 April 2024.
For these changes to take effect, the Industrial Chemicals (General) Rules 2019 and Industrial Chemicals Categorisation Guidelines will be amended.
Changes will be made to reduce regulatory burden for introducers when appropriate which will make compliance easier as well as changes that will give better protection for Australians and the environment from hazardous chemicals.
