Banks Peninsula storm roading updates

Council contractors are continuing work to repair a number of roads in Banks Peninsula that were damaged after significant rainfall on 15 and 16 December 2021.

The following newsletter provides an update on the status of roadworks in several Banks Peninsula bays.

A number of you should now have light vehicle access to your properties and work continues to improve the quality of these connections for residents.

The purpose of this newsletter is to provide some clarity around the extent of the damage and the anticipated timelines for repair.

Heavy rainfall this week made it difficult for our contractors to undertake repairs safely at some sites. Fulton Hogan will be working over the weekend to prevent further delays to the roading repair in the affected bays.

The weather forecast for the coming week is looking promising and should allow us to stay on top of programme timelines.
