Message from our CEO
We are making exciting progress with some of our key projects, so this is a timely update.
Last week we held inital consultations for the National Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy covering children aged 0-12 years. Workshops across two days provided a unique opportunity to draw on the expertise of parents, clinicians, child rights advocates and academics to identify the various issues and solutions that can be used in the development of the Strategy.
This week we are bringing together experts from academia, governments and research funding bodies, along with mental health consumers and carers, for a collaborative two-day workshop to inform the development of the National Mental Health Research Strategy.
We also have current engagement opportunities, including applications into our Australian Mental Health Leaders Fellowship which close this Friday 6th March, and our National Peer Workforce Survey closing at the end of March. This month, in the wider mental health sector, Functional Neurological Disorder awareness day is approaching and Borderline Personality Disorder training is being delivered across Australia.
You all come with unique experiences and knowledge, so I encourage you to get involved and contribute in any way you can.
Christine Morgan
