Construction phase

Preliminary site works have begun to build a new Mornington Fishermans Jetty, with construction expected to start next month.

Construction impacts

On-site works will commence in April and are expected to be completed by mid-to-late 2025, pending necessary approvals, material supply, and suitable weather conditions. 

An exclusion zone will be in place during construction to ensure community safety. We anticipate the exclusion zone will be similar to the one in place during the demolition of the old pier. The contractor will determine this as part of the preliminary works.  

More information will be provided to users, including a Notice to Mariners and Notice in the Victorian Government Gazette once construction detail is confirmed.
