No images? Click here Law School Bulletin May 2025![]() Welcome to the May edition of the Student Bulletin. We hope you are taking the chance to enjoy a well-deserved rest and a dose of sunshine after your busy exam period. We are now coming to the end of term and fingers crossed the good weather continues a while for you to get to places which are special to you. With exams comes the wait for results – so in this edition we have information and advice about results day as well as details of the support we have in the Law School and University. You can also read about the Prizes the Law School awards each academic year and the opportunity to join a Law focus group organised by one of our Law students. As this is our final newsletter for this academic year, we take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful summer. Some of you will be graduating in July (but it is too early to say good-bye just yet!) and others will join us again in September. Richard will be acting Head of School from June to February while I will be on leave and – whatever your plans are for the summer – we both hope you will have a fantastic time. All our very best wishes Caroline and Richard Professor Caroline Fournet, Head of Law School Dr Richard Bowyer, Co-Director of Education and Student Experience 📖Education Matters ✒️ We have come to the end of the academic year and most of you will have completed your Term 3 assessments by now, although exams in a small number of subjects remain. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be preparing for the exam board where we process not only the Term 3 results, but also the provisional results issued earlier in the year, and degree classifications for finalists. These final results will be released on Tuesday 17 June and ELE feedback on Wednesday 18 June (remember that Exam feedback will be via Exams ELE, not regular ELE). The University is here to support you during this time, so do please reach out to the law school's pastoral mentors, your academic tutor, or the Welfare team at Amory, if you are unsure about anything or need some advice about your results. Subject-based staff have been asked to prioritise support for students who have assessments over the July/August summer period - those who deferred their assessment for medical or other reasons, and those who are referred in modules that are not yet passed. Your module convenors should be in touch shortly after results release with a module-based support session to be delivered online for those who still have assessments to complete. We hope you have a wonderful summer, whatever you are doing, and we look forward to seeing some of you at the picnic tomorrow, and at the graduation ceremonies. Dr David Yuratich, Dr Richard Bowyer, Co-Directors of Education and Student Experience Your Wellbeing Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the support that’s available to you at the University and Law School should you need to.
