Wheatbelt Health Professionals Network – Merredin networking and
self-care strategies for health professionals workshop

Together with Holyoake, the Wheatbelt Health Professionals Network invites health professionals from Merredin and surrounds to attend a networking and self-care strategies workshop. Mingle with colleagues and friends during this interactive session where we use assessment tools for well-being and address topics of burn out, compassion fatigue, sleep and tips to getting your work/life/you balance right.

Are you passionate about creating a safe and healthy environment for older adults? 

Applications for Stay On Your Feet® Remove Hazards grants are now open! These grants aim to support community-based falls prevention projects that promote healthy ageing and prevent falls among older adults.

Podiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Optometrists, community groups, health services and local governments are encouraged to apply for a grant of up to $5,000 (plus GST) to fund projects running between 1 September and 30 November 2023.

Upcoming events

SHAPE - Supporting Holistic And Person-centred weight Education

Following the recent launch of WA Primary Health Alliance’s SHAPE (Supporting Holistic And Person centred weight Education) website and Conversations About Weight online training, WA Primary Health Alliance is pleased to present a six part masterclass webinar series on supporting patients with weight concerns to improve their health and wellbeing.

These sessions are open to all healthcare professionals, including GPs, practice nurses, allied health practitioners, and hospital based medical practitioners.

The first session will provide attendees with an understanding of:

  • Weight bias and weight stigma, including:
    – The impact of weight stigma in the healthcare setting
    – Patient experiences of weight stigma, including lived experience perspectives
    – How to practice using an approach free from weight stigma
  • The interplay of the multiple, complex factors contributing to weight and overall health.

Kidsafe WA Child Injury Prevention Symposium – Growing Up Safely on Farms
