It is great that so many schools, service providers and families are contacting us for support and training already. March is Purple Month with the Theme for 2024 being "Help Turn Things Around" so keep reading for how you can become involved to raise awareness. Throughout the country during the month of March many iconic landmarks will be let up in Purple, including AAMI Stadium & Rod Laver Arena. In Tasmania keep an eye out for these illuminations. Wrest Point Casino Hobart 22-24/3/24 Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston 22-31/3/24 International Epilepsy Day February 2024 On Tuesday the International League Against Epilepsy and the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) are calling for accelerated implementation of the Intersectoral Global Action plan (IGAP) on Epilepsy. This plan or IGAP, developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO), aims to improve access to treatment, care and quality of life of people with epilepsy, their carers , and families. Australia has developed an Epilepsy Ecosystem response to IGAP. Epilepsy Tasmania applied to become an associate member of IBE and this week received confirmation that our membership was successful.
