The last few months have been full of "star-studded" activities with our 2018 Swinging with the Stars participants in full swing with their fundraising. In addition to fundraising they have been putting in the hours at HYPE DANCE learning all the fancy footwork that will be on display at The Barn on Saturday 23rd June. It's been a wonderful start to Winter for Stand Like Stone with recent generous donations to benefit the Limestone Coast community. The end of financial year is a great time to donate to your local charity And we hope that your favourite local charity is Stand Like Stone!

All funds donated to Stand Like Stone are managed locally & go back into the Limestone Coast community. Donations, both large and small, are held in trust in perpetuity for the benefit of our community and all contribute to the meaningful work that we are able to do each year ... & in perpetuity. The OneFortyOne Community Capacity Building Grants have delivered a further $50,000 into the community, with the Migrant Resource Centre in Mt Gambier receiving $6,800 to establish a Community Vegetable Garden with a focus on the older migrant community. Youth Opportunities received $18,000 to run Personal Leadership Programs in the South East, the Naracoorte Independent Learning Centre received $7,200 for Project Abroad HHHH with the ILC. Foodbank of SA received a grant of $10,000 to expand the Foodbank Mt Gambier premises and Centacare Catholic Family Services received $8,000 to establish a Mobile Toy Library to service the Wattle Range area. Willie Van Niekerk, OneFortyOne Plantations General Manager Green Triangle, said “OneFortyOne is strongly committed to the Limestone Coast region and is proud of our ongoing partnership with the Stand Like Stone Foundation. Supporting the wellbeing of people in the region will create the positive future we are all striving for."  The Stand Like Stone "Small Grants" Program will open on 15 August offering grants of up to $5,000 for charitable projects to benefit the region.

Thank you to all the members of the ADO, who visited Mt Gambier over the June long weekend & gave a spectacular performance at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre on Sunday. We are grateful for your generosity and thank you for supporting the Stand Like Stone Foundation. Particular thanks to Sue Charlton AM and Dr Michelle MacIntosh for coordinating the event.
