Cellphones for Science — Two Years Later: Sweet Results from a Utah Classroom

In 2021, we shared the story of how 911 Cell Phone Bank partnered with a dedicated Utah science teacher to bring used cellphones into the classroom for hands-on STEM learning. Students were able to safely disassemble donated phones to explore real-world electronics and learn how technology impacts recycling and sustainability.

Fast forward to today — that partnership is still thriving, and the results are sweeter than ever.

Colorado Springs Police Department is amplifying efforts to support survivors of domestic violence across Colorado Springs. From raising awareness to launching their “Phone It Forward” program, they’re working to break silence, offer hope, and connect people to help when it’s needed most.
