Events are slowly but surely returning to the national calendar, and the Territory has been leading the way with multiple major events getting off the ground in the NT this year. A word from Natasha Fyles, NT Minister for Major Events

Season’s greetings to you all as we head towards the end of 2020. And what a year it’s been, full of change, unknowns and uncertainty!

A big change was the deferral of the 2020 Alice Springs Masters Games, which was a huge blow to us all, especially you, our fantastic Masters Games community.

The Masters Games is a unique gathering of likeminded people who truly love the event – few have such a loyal following.

When you all gather in the beautiful Red Centre, you create something that is hard to describe. An energy, a vibe, a sense of fun and achievement that reverberates through the town, drawing in those who want to experience what the Masters Games offer, that sense of camaraderie, that opportunity to shine in a friendly, welcoming environment.

With that experience in mind, the Alice Springs Masters Games team is working hard to bring you an even more memorable and enjoyable event in 2022.

As plans continue to fall into place, I look forward to announcing the dates for the 2022 event next year, and to seeing you all in the stunning heart of Australia.

Best wishes to you all.

Natasha Fyles

A word from Damien Ryan, Alice Springs Town Council Mayor

Alice Springs Town Council has a long history of supporting the Masters Games and is proud to again be involved in the upcoming 2022 Games. It is great news to see the ‘friendly games’ are back and I’m sure everyone will get straight back into training… post festive season of course!

Council contributes to the Games both financially and with in-kind support. It’s a big job for our team to ensure the town, our sporting facilities and the public venues are all prepared and maintained for the Masters participants.

Enjoy your festive break and I am looking forward to seeing all the participants sign up again for 2022!

Warm regards, Damien Ryan

Towards 2022

The road ahead to the 2022 Alice Springs Masters Games is full of new opportunities, fresh faces and community spirit! The Alice Springs community is eagerly awaiting your return and, as always, is keen to help you have an amazing experience and enjoy the many and varied experiences the Red Centre has to offer.

If you haven’t told your friends and family about the Games already, it’s time to get them on board and start considering how you can all make the most of a trip to the heart of Australia!

The Alice Springs Masters Games team wishes you a Merry Christmas and looks forward to speaking with you in the New Year.
