Creating a fresh approach to finding accommodation

We recently enhanced Barcelona-based accommodation specialists, Akommo's web application. A clean and smart interface delivering key information assists visitors in finding the perfect property for their event.

The complex and intelligent admin area helps manage all enquiries and bookings for the business alongside client enquiries, wishlists and invoicing, whilst the client-facing site is bright and inspiring.

Star Wars at Birmingham Design Festival

Birmingham Design Festival kicks off its first year with success

Birmingham's creative community came together to welcome (and create) its very own Birmingham Design Festival. Alongside many others, we jumped at the opportunity to hear from some inspiring creatives from various different disciplines. We particularly enjoyed hearing from Blind Ltd about creating interfaces for Hollywood including Star Wars and James Bond blockbusters!

Hats off to the small but mighty team behind BDF 2018, it was a resounding success and we look forward to BDF 2019.

Apple Watch OS5 introduces WebKit support

After selling an impressive 18,000,000 Watches in 2017, Apple is set to introduce WebKit support to Watch OS5 , enabling optimised versions of websites on the watch. This will open a new world of possibilities and challenges as developers - but ones we look forward to exploring as the wearable market continues to flourish.

Girlguiding has a long history of empowering young girls. This can now incorporate teaching them about emerging technologies, as a group of Brownies based in Cornwall have been awarded the world's first badge in virtual reality. The project is being spearheaded by Professor Bob Stone, director of the Human Interface Technologies Team at the University of Birmingham.
