With lots of bright colours! Jude Perl’s insight into her personal and relatable mental health struggles of being an adult, will make you want to sing along, cry and laugh all at once. Fri 30 April, Bowery Theatre. Tickets from $22 A conversation with Sarah Feagan, a queer woman living with HIV. Presented by Living Positive Victoria, This will be a fascinating tell-all journey of Sarah’s lived-experiences of sex, drugs and rock n roll and how her HIV diagnosis has pushed her forward, held her back, and turned her into a dynamic player on the national HIV stage. 28 Apr and 5 May, Hare Hole. Tickets from $15. Heirloom Room! Sculpture workshop with Kenny PittockLearn the essentials of hand-building with air-dry clay, and explore how feelings imprint on perceptions of treasured objects. This workshop, part of the Becoming Us series, is for participants aged 16 to 25. Tickets include free entry to the Becoming You exhibition at Immigration Museum. Sun 25 Apr 11am & 2pm, Immigration Museum. Tickets $5 Midsumma Festival Virtual Stalls Precinct!Usually, Midsumma Carnival each year is a showcase of almost 200 community and business stalls. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and safety precautions, Midsumma Carnival will not go-ahead for 2021. This means Stalls at Midsumma Carnival cannot go-ahead for 2021, well physically... We know that the Midsumma Stalls are a major attraction for 120,000 attendees each year, and for the stallholders as well, so for Midsumma Festival 2021 we have delivered a Virtual Stalls Precinct to highlight the community organisations and supporting businesses that service our communities year-round. Presented within the Collingwood Yards courtyard and buildings, the projection artworks and performances featured in this program explore the theme of “a strange space” and the various forms, ideas and experiences that this concept evokes. 22-25 April, Collingwood Yards. Blue is the Colour of LoveBlues with a classical touch. 'Blue is the Colour of Love' will dive into the sea of blues and jazz love songs, wringing out the lows and rejoicing in the highs of this evocative music. With hot keys and a powerful voice, The Blues Sisters, made up of opera singer Piera Dennerstein and pianist, Pamela Christie, will present a program of some of the greats of this genre, and indeed of the 20th century as a whole. 1 May, The Hare Hole (Hares & Hyenas) #AllAboard the Rainbow Tram!Have you spotted the Rainbow Tram in Melbourne?! We've partnered with Yarra Trams and The Yarra Trams Pride Alliance to release this rainbow ride onto the tram tracks of Melbourne.
