Hi all, Here at QA Cafe, summer means getting outdoors. Between hiking, pickleball, and a barbecue or two, we refresh our minds so we can bring you even more of the great support, test expertise, and packet analysis solutions that you have come to expect. Here are some of the highlights from the past few months. - Your QA Cafe Team Turning Packet Captures into Packet IntelligenceOne of our biggest releases this year included CloudShark Enterprise Deep Search as an API endpoint. Deep Search already allowed users to search across their entire capture repository using Wireshark display filters, which is a lifesaver if you've ever tried to track down a specific session across hundreds of files. With the API, any system or agent that can make an HTTP request can search your captures. This sounds simple because it is. But simple changes to how data is accessible tend to have outsized effects on how teams actually work, greatly enhancing SIEM validation, enriching SOAR capabilities, performing IOC sweeps, and making custom integrations simple. If you've ever thought "we have the captures, we just can't get to them fast enough," this is what you've been waiting for. The new speed testing: CDRouter and TR-471 The CDRouter Speed Test Expansion is now available, covering the full lifecycle of TR-471 UDP speed test validation, from management-plane activation to performance measurement and reporting. In this expert webinar with the Broadband Forum and the creators of OB-UDPST, we showed that TR-471 is not just a better way to run a speed test. It’s a fundamentally different way to measure, understand, and ultimately deliver broadband performance. As more operators switch from TR-143 to TR-471, ensuring devices activate, perform, and record data correctly is critical. New Guide: How AI NDR Platforms Provide Evidence Through Packets Our new strategy guide is for anyone building an NDR or tool that dives into packet captures. Featuring use cases from ExtraHop, the guide outlines a strategic approach for security platforms to integrate packet-level evidence into their existing AI workflows, transforming it into a competitive advantage. And Packet Viewer makes it all possible! Working with the Experts One of the fundamental strengths of QA Cafe is our deep involvement with industry experts, standards bodies, open-source projects, and more. Here are some webinars we held in Q2 featuring our incredibly talented and knowledgeable guests. With the release of prplWare 4.2 and 5.0 on the horizon, operators and vendors need to know what to expect and what opportunities they have for developing prplWare-based solutions. In this special webinar, learn the new prplWare release process and what to expect both upstream and downstream, what’s new in 4.2, what’s coming in 5.0, and how to get certified. In this recent QA Cafe webinar, Carl Wuyts, Technology Lead for CPE at Telenet, shared how one of Europe's leading service providers approaches automated CPE validation and why automation has fundamentally changed the way his team evaluates devices.
