We are so thankful for each of you and want to encourage you in your time online. ![]() A Look Back In Time Over the past 60 years, technological advances in telephones have been staggering, taking us from rotary dial to push button to cellular. In 1983, Motorola came out with the first mobile phone, nicknamed "The Brick" weighing in at almost 2 pounds with a 30-minute battery life, priced at $3,995. In 1997, the term "smartphone" was introduced when mobile gaming hit the scene. A decade later, in 2007, Apple introduced the first iPhone, which was referred to as a "revolutionary and magical product"..... It is reported that in the US today, 97% of adults have a cell phone. As a society, we have never been more "connected"; however, as a Ministry, never have we seen more brokenness and pain. This is where you come in. As Voice Responders, each of you plays an integral role in our Ministry as we meet the hurting and broken with the message of Christ. In a time when people appear to be more connected, we see the depth of pain ever increasing. And thanks to you, we can meet those who are calling to speak to a friend. This Special Update is being sent to Voice Responders to provide some updates and to seek your help in expanding our reach. Key Stats For Voice
We are often asked, what time windows do we need more help answering calls. As you know, our phone lines operate 24/7, but after reviewing the data for the past four weeks, the highest percentage of "missed" calls come between 3:00 pm and 11:00 pm with the peak right around dinner time. Did You Know... ECHO Voice now allows you to auto-schedule calls to your mobile device or hardline without having to be in front of your computer. Once activated, you can receive calls and manage their disposition from your device during those scheduled time windows. This feature is critically important for those with vision issues or those who may not have access to their computer. If you are interested in learning more about this feature, please let me know.
