New Requirements for Food Safety Supervisors

Did you know that your Food Safety Supervisor certificate is only valid for five years?

When did you obtain your food safety supervisor certificate? New requirements have been outlined under the Food Standards Code, Standard 3.2.2A, Food Safety Management Tools, in regards to how long food safety supervisor certification is valid.

So how often is training required?

A food safety supervisor certificate is now valid for five years. The certification will need to show that the participant has successfully completed the required units of competency. Enforcement will commence from December 2023. For more information on these new requirements, visit the Queensland Government website here.

Let's get growing and sprouting

Grow vegetables and herbs from scraps
It’s possible to grow vegetables and herbs from kitchen scraps that would normally end up in the bin! This can be an interesting and budget friendly activity to involve children in.

Sprouting made easy
It’s easy to grow your own sprouts – they taste great in sandwiches, salads, stir fries and even omelettes! This activity provides children with an opportunity to learn about how food grows.
