Restorative justice visit
Our Alumni Officer, Brett Arnall, is known for travelling the country regularly to meet with alumni. These meetings have involved going to the BBC headquarters, more recently to McLaren F1, and even a photoshoot where he had to herd a few goats!
But one visit he'll never forget is when he met with alumnus Phil Cawley (Economics, 1979) at a Category B local remand prison in the North West of England. He sat in on a session where Phil spoke to inmates about the process of restorative justice, where victims of crime have the opportunity to meet their offenders. Find out more.

Featured alumni – Kafayat Adegoke
Kafayat graduated from Film & Television in 2018 and we recently caught up with her when she helped to deliver an exceptional first Bradford African Festival of Arts (BAFA) for the city.
BAFA was a first of its kind, two-day event to showcase the beauty of African Culture. VIP guests included our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Egbu, who spoke at the event. Over the two days there were over 2,000 attendees.
After the success of the event Kafayat told us that they are already thinking about next year: "After a thorough evaluation, the plan is to make BAFA an annual festival, next year’s will tie in nicely with Bradford City of Culture 2025 endeavours." Full story.
