February eNews |
As planning continues for Queensland Mental Health Week (QMHW) our hope is that this year's initiative will provide opportunities for all Queenslanders to raise awareness and connect with the people and communities that help them be mentally healthy, through a range of events and activities.
To help support events to be held across the state, there will once again be funding available through the QMHW Community Events Grant Program with applications set to open in April. Further updates on QMHW, mental health events, and sector news are below.
If you have an update to share for the March eNews, please get in touch. That's when we plan on sharing this year's theme! |

Need support? 📲 |
If you, or someone you care about, are experiencing mental health problems, please remember, you are not alone. Your GP is a great place to start when it comes to talking about your mental health, but you can also find a list of support services on our website.
You may also want to jump onto Queensland Health's Dear Mind website to find out how you can use the building blocks of wellbeing to engage in self-care.
If you need immediate support, Lifeline (13 11 14) and the Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467) are available 24/7. In an emergency, call 000. |
Acknowledgent of Traditional Owners We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands from across Queensland. We pay our respect to the Elders, past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the state.
Funded by the Queensland Mental Health Commission, Queensland Mental Health Week is coordinated by CheckUP and delivered by a strong cross-sector collaboration. |
