Welcoming 2026 with Alumnae Celebrations and Connections

We are thrilled to welcome 2026, building on a lively and memorable close to a 2025 filled with alumnae celebrations and meaningful connections. In November, the Class of 1990 celebrated their 35-year reunion, while in December, the Class of 2005 returned to CHS to mark their 20-year milestone—joyful occasions that brought classmates back together on campus to reminisce and reconnect.

The end-of-year connections continued with our Young Alumnae Social, where graduates from the past decade mingled with one another, as well as with CHS teachers and staff. The season wrapped up with the much-loved Seasonal Social and Carol Service, highlighted by a dozen alumnae joining the Senior Choirs and Chamber Ensemble to perform This Christmastide (Jessye’s Carol) by Donald Fraser. We were delighted to connect with choir participant Erin (Somerville) MacWilliam ’00, who shared how much being part of Crofton House’s choir enriched her life both during her time at the school and beyond. Looking ahead, CHS is excited to launch the inaugural Alumnae Choir in 2026. If you’d like to take part, please email us at alumnae@croftonhouse.ca to sign up.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar alumnae faces, and we look forward to more opportunities to connect in 2026!

Warm regards,

CHS Alumnae Relations

Introducing Cellie Agunbiade, Coordinator, Alumnae Relations

We are delighted to announce that Cellie Agunbiade, Coordinator, Alumnae Relations, joined CHS on Monday, December 1. Since arriving at CHS, Cellie has quickly immersed herself in the vibrant alumnae community.

“In just a few weeks at CHS, attending the Young Alumnae Social and Seasonal Social, I’ve loved seeing the warmth and support across generations. I’m thrilled to be part of this community, creating events that connect alumnae and celebrate the Crofton House spirit.”

We are excited to see the passion and creativity Cellie brings to her new role and look forward to the many ways she will help connect and celebrate our alumnae community in the year ahead.

Crofton House Winter Bazaar - Thank you!

The CHS Alumnae Association once again sold alumnae-made jams at the Winter Bazaar. Alumnae gathered in the fall to prepare a delicious selection of fruit jams. Featuring crowd favourites such as strawberry rhubarb, blueberry, apple cardamom, and peach rosé pepper jelly, the jams were a great success—and sold out completely! Thank you to the volunteers who participated in jam-making and packing, and to those who came out to support the event in November.

Support the Next Generation of CHS Alumnae as a Work Experience Program Employer

The CHS Work Experience Program gives motivated Grade 11 and 12 students the chance to gain real-world experience, contribute meaningfully, and explore career paths. This year, we have an exceptional number of students ready to take on placements. If your organization could host a student (or you know someone who might be interested!), and you’d like to learn more about getting involved, we’d love to hear from you. Students are always eager to learn from the experience and expertise of alumnae! Visit the WEP webpage to get in touch.

Alumnae Volunteers & Junior School: Stringing a Yarn

With the support of CHS staff and volunteer alumnae, Grade 4 and 5 students spend the winter knitting for Project Linus, an organization that provides blankets to children facing challenging times. This after-school knitting program has continued to grow since 2024 and will be active until March 5, 2026, on Thursday afternoons. Whether by visiting to share encouragement with students or by knitting a blanket at home to contribute alongside the Junior School, alumnae are invited to join. If you would like more information, a copy of the knitting pattern, or to RSVP, please contact us!
