Hello |

What's On November 2014

November is upon our doorstep and there is plenty in store for all you lovers of the finer things in
life. Don't be too shy to try something new to develop your skills and meet new people. Thyme Festival is coming up and there are some wonderful experiences on offer such as aluminium casting to make a small object, flax weaving or maybe you could encourage someone to enter the talent quest. There's also many walks and talks throughout the week long celebrations, have a look at the website for more details.
The saying 'life goes on' is a poignant one and during this last month there has been some sad loss in our community that has touched many. Sudden loss of life hits us hard and when one has gone before their time, the grief is palpable. But flowers still open, bee's keep buzzing and the river continues to flow on even though for those effected, is hard to appreciate this normalness when their lives have changed so much. Mother nature and the outdoors can put loss into some perspective, helping people to understand what has happened and to continue living.
Be kind, smile freely and cherish your loved ones but most of all be grateful. Regards Maxine
