We’re introducing a new Market Insights report that brings admitted market and surplus lines data together to provide a broader view of Wyoming’s property insurance market.
From 2021 to 2025, admitted property premium increased from approximately $1.43 billion to $2.03 billion, while surplus lines premium grew from approximately $100 million to $214 million. Over the same period, surplus lines’ share of premium increased from 6.55% to 9.53%.

- Commercial Property Lines: Surplus lines accounted for 12.94% of premium in 2025, with premium reaching approximately $40.4 million.
- Homeowners Lines: While the admitted market continues to represent the significant majority of premium, surplus lines premium increased from $2.9 million in 2021 to $15.6 million in 2025, with market share rising from 1.11% to 3.56%.
