Cloudraker Skybridge Will Open for Summer 2022
After a two year hiatus, the Cloudraker Skybridge will open June 18 – September 5. It will span 130m from Whistler Peak to the West Ridge, crossing high above Whistler Bowl. In addition, the Raven’s Eye Lookout with a viewing platform showcasing 360° views from Whistler’s Peak will open. Whistler Blackcomb’s summer launched on May 21, with hiking, biking and sightseeing. The Whistler Mountain Bike Park opened May 19. Once snow melts, the Top of the World bike trail will open. The Roundhouse Umbrella Bar is welcoming guests to raise a glass (weekends through mid-June and then open daily). whistlerblackcomb.com
Escape! Whistler Introduces 2 New Escape Rooms
Escape! Whistler have brought online two new escape rooms making a total of 6 fun filled live escape room experiences. They are The Pirate Ship, The Buried Cabin, The Pinball Machine, The Underwater Lair, The Yukon Gold and The Rabbit Hole. Whistler Bike Valet is Back for the Summer
Back for the Summer 2022 season by popular demand, the Whistler Bike Valet service will be resuming. The free service will provide secure bicycle parking at Whistler Olympic Plaza, Lost Lake Park and Rainbow Park. They will also be providing free and secure storage of your personal water craft, such as paddle boards, and bagged items such as back packs. Carving of the Community Reconciliation Canoe at SLCC
The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) are hosting the carving of the Community Reconciliation Canoe, with Master Carver Chief Ray Natraoro (Ses Siyam) of Squamish Nation leading SLCC Apprentices Brandon Hall of Squamish Nation and Q̓áwam̓ Redmond Andrews of Lil’wat Nation through spring and summer of 2022. New Exhibit at Audain Art Museum
Wolves: The Art of Dempsey Bob at the Audain Art Museum is running to August 14, 2022. It is the first-ever retrospective exhibition of this noted BC artist’s work drawn from public and private collections across Canada. Bob’s production from the 1970s to the present is rooted in the visual as well as oral traditions of his Tahltan and Tlingit ancestors. This master carver’s oeuvre includes masks, helmets, spoons, rattles, panels and wall sculptures alongside a variety of other media such as bronze casting, gold smithing, print making and robe design. audainartmuseum.com

Vail Resorts Announces New Chairlifts to Enhance Guest Experience for the 2022-23 Winter Season
Big Red Express: The replacement of the existing high-speed 4-person lift with a high-speed 6-person chair will increase uphill capacity by nearly 30% and enhance and modernize the guest experience mid-mountain out of the Creekside area.
Creekside Gondola: A new high-speed 8-person gondola, replacing the existing 6-person gondola, will significantly improve wait times and increase out-of-base uphill capacity by 35% in the Creekside area, especially on high-volume days. Read more here.
