As the end of the year approaches, we get together with friends and loved ones, but also go within to just be with ourselves. Everyone has a different attitude towards December, and we at Beliingual are no different. Read on to find out how families celebrate December. December also marks the end of our first full year of Belingual Family Network activities. Thank you for being a part of our community, whether it has been as a Language Club participants, attending our workshops, or giving us a like on social media. We have volunteer training in January, if you want to start a club in your home language, register! Our language clubs will continue at the end of January and we have lots of other activities planned for you and your children, so be sure to check back here in January. We want to make sure the Belingual Family Network serves our families. Our family playlist includes songs such as “El burrito Sabanero”, “Last Christmas” and “Tonttujen jouluyö Tip Tap (Soihdut sammuu)”. My daughter makes her own version of the lyrics in Spanish, Finnish and English, mixing all the songs. Yes, Christmas carols are part of our repertoire and that is where things get a bit intercultural.
