Smart's Place, a rooftop apartment in Holborn, London, is published in leading Japanese architecture magazine a+u this month. Guest editor Andrew Clancy, writes "When I started thinking about this issue of a+u, this basic idea of London as a place to live came to mind, that we might look at living in London, and about architects making a living there. On the occasion of the publication of Smart's Place in a+u, we revisit David Kohn's 2024 interview with Viennese architect Hermann Czech which was held in the apartment. Hasselt Beguinage, the conversion of a historic site in Belgium into a university campus and public park, features in leading Italian architecture magazine Casabella issue no. 978, 'On Adding'.
