Exciting Centre Update!

Today we celebrated Australia's first JDRF Global Centre of Excellence, now part of the Children's Diabetes Centre at the Perth Children's Hospital.

The event was a Virtual Launch to share our vision of the Centre which is to help children and families living with diabetes live longer and healthier lives.

The Rio Tinto Diabetes Research Centre  - A JDRF Global Centre of Excellence is the only pediatric JDRF Global Centre of Excellence in the world with collaborators representing every state in Australia as well as world-leading institutions in the USA, Canada, Sweden, New Zealand and Scotland.

Thank you to the community who were involved in the scientific launch. We will send an email to all clinic families containing details on how to access the video of the event in coming days.

If you live with Type 1 diabetes or are a parent or family member caring for a child with Type 1 diabetes and would like to be involved in this exciting initiative, please email Leanne at community@childrensdiabetesresearch.org.au to find out more.
