Thank you to all of you who attended and supported the Yellow Ribbon Luncheon on September 7! It was such a special time looking back at what the Lord has done, is doing and will continue to do through Dr. and Mrs. Wright as they celebrate their 6-year anniversary as President and First Lady of DBU. It was a beautiful day, and we hope you will all come back and bring your friends to the DBU Women's Auxiliary Board fall events. Scroll through to see highlights from the luncheon, as well as dates and details for all of the fun events and ways to be involved at DBU this coming season! This year we want each of you to consider how you can pray, serve, and give supporting DBU through the Women's Auxiliary Board. Here are some practical ways to become involved this fall: DBU All-University Prayer Requests DBU Basketball Mission Trip to Spain, Coaches and 13 players from DBU Basketball are currently on a mission trip in Dénia, Spain. The first half of the day they are volunteering at Colegio Alfa y Omega, where they are speaking to students about heroes of the faith. In the evenings they are playing games with different Spanish basketball club teams. They ask that we pray that God would prepare their hearts as they build relationships and that the people they meet would be ready to hear the Good News. Student Success, From Kelly Morris, Director of Academic Advising: "Please pray for students who have academic struggles to be open to the resources DBU provides to aid in student success. Pray for our faculty and staff who will be serving as AIM (Academics in Motion) mentors as they guide students in practical strategies related to time management, test taking, note taking, and critical thinking." Family Weekend, From Terri Brown, Director of Parent Services: “Please be in prayer for the Student Affairs Division as we host Family Weekend on September 16 - 17. Family Weekend is an annual tradition at DBU where our staff, faculty, students and their family members are invited to the beautiful DBU campus for two days of fun-filled family activities! Please join us in praying that each guest will sense God’s presence on University Hill and the love that abounds within the DBU Family!” DBU Chapel, Pray for DBU Chapel Worship each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00 a.m. as they lead our students in worship through music. Pray also that the Holy Spirit would give the Chapel speakers powerful words. Pray for the students who come to Chapel who have never heard about Jesus. PRAYER REQUESTS For the 2022-2023 year, the DBU Women's Auxiliary Board Staff, Chaplain, Patty Lovvorn, and our Executive Committee are committing to pray for the needs of our member's and their loved ones.
