The end of term is full of excitement for many of you and it can also be a time of anticipation as you wait for assessment results on 28th June. If any of your marks are delayed as a result of the Marking and Assessment Boycott, we will let you know in the results release email, so do read it carefully. We understand this may be concerning and so, if you are affected, the email will also include information on how to get further advice and support, should you need it. Please continue to check your emails for communications from the Faculty and the University (FAQs and previous emails can be found on the website) about the approach being taken in response to this ongoing period of national industrial action. For many of you, this marks the end of your undergraduate studies with the Law School and the summer recess is an important time for reflection and preparation for what lies ahead for you. Many of you will be undertaking internships, work placements and paid employment. For others, this may be a time to prepare for the referral and deferral assessment period. It can be easy to forget the importance of self-care so I encourage you all to take a well-deserved break and focus on your wellbeing. Spend time with family and friends, do things that bring you joy, and forget about your studies for a while. Graduation marks a significant moment in your life; it is an important point of transition from one phase into another. All colleagues in the Law School are so proud of your achievements and we hope that you will stay in touch with us. I encourage you to become active members of our alumni community - if you are interested in returning to support the School in any capacity, please reach out to me. Wishing you all a beautiful and fun summer recess. I look forward to seeing you at Graduation. Clair Professor Clair Gammage, Head of Law School Education Matters Director of Education and Student Experience Craig Newbery-Jones:Congratulations to all of you receiving your results next week! This marks a remarkable milestone in your personal journey. Your dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment have brought you to this moment. Years of rigorous study, countless hours of research, and intense hard work have helped you hone your intellect and developed a deep understanding of law and its role in society. As you embark on the next stage on your journey remember that the power of the law lies not only in its enforcement but also in its ability to promote fairness, equality, and positive change. The world eagerly awaits your contribution. Whatever you choose to do, always remember to uphold justice, and shape the world for the better. As you celebrate, remember to take a moment to acknowledge the unwavering support of your family, friends, academic staff, and student colleagues who have cheered you on. Their encouragement, guidance, and belief in your abilities have been instrumental in your success. Let their pride in your accomplishments fuel your passion and inspire you to reach even greater heights. However, this is not the end of your journey with the University of Exeter Law School. Support will be available from the Amory Hub, the Wellbeing service and your academic personal tutors during the next few weeks. Also, be sure to read all accompanying letters provided with your results and transcripts (or interim transcripts) carefully. We also hope that you will become an active member of our alumni community and return to visit us many times to work with our students and impart the skills and knowledge you developed during your time with us and beyond. May your future endeavours be filled with fulfilment, personal growth, and endless opportunities to make a positive difference in the world. I wish you success and happiness in all that you do.
