Winter 2025/26

Winter in Whistler brings crisp mountain days, fresh snow, and endless ways to enjoy the season on the slopes, the trails, or simply taking in the views. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy Whistler Mountain until April 19, 2026, with Blackcomb Mountain remaining open until May 18, 2026, giving everyone plenty of time to make the most of the season.

Festive Season in Whistler

From festive celebrations to New Year’s, Whistler comes alive with winter magic. Visitors can tour sparkling light displays, glide across the Village ice rink, enjoy special appearances from Santa, and try winter favourites like dog sledding and snow tubing. With twinkling lights, a snow globe inspired village, and activities for all ages, Whistler is the perfect place to embrace the season.

Introducing Wonder Routes: Your Guide to Winter on the Mountain

As North America’s largest ski resort, Whistler Blackcomb offers over 200 runs across 8,171 acres—but knowing where to start can be the real challenge. That’s where the new Wonder Routes come in. Wonder Routes are curated trail networks designed to highlight the best of the mountains for every skill level. From standout viewpoints and mellow blue cruisers to family-friendly zones, hidden powder stashes, and can’t-miss après stops, these routes help guests discover the mountain’s winter gems with ease.

A Fresh Look at Whistler Pride 2026

The refreshed 2026 Whistler Pride Festival, running January 25 – February 1, will bring a renewed week of inclusivity, connection, and celebration to the resort. Guided by new Festival Manager TFD Presents, with support from Tourism Whistler, RMOW, and Whistler Blackcomb, the festival will feature on-mountain activities, vibrant après, signature parties, and inclusive cultural programming. The beloved free daily guided ski and snowboard program returns as a core highlight, continuing a 30+ year tradition that has made Whistler one of the world’s most recognized and welcoming 2SLGBTQ+ winter destinations.

Mountain Travel Symposium is headed to Whistler, April 13-18, 2026. A cornerstone of MTS is the Trade Exchange, which connects buyers (tour operators, wholesalers, online travel agents) with suppliers (destinations, resorts, lodging, transportation, ski rentals and more) through one-on-one meetings. Over a two-day period, April 14 & 15, 2026, you can schedule up to 50 appointments with the companies you want to meet with. It’s a year’s worth of business, all in one place.
