A monthly newsletter keeping our HDR community informed and connected. Welcome to the new Dean of Graduate Research It has been my first week as Dean of Graduate Research at Flinders University; I consider it an honour and privilege to be serving in this role. As I embark on this journey, I’m reminded of the very positive experience I had as a PhD student, and the many great opportunities it has afforded me over my career. As Dean of Graduate Research, my goal is simple: to ensure that both our students and supervisors enjoy a world-class HDR experience. As a society, we live in exciting, albeit it challenging times. As scholars we have an opportunity to conceptualise, explore and tackle these grand challenges. In doing so, we can help shape the future in positive ways. I ask you, what could be more exciting than that? Whatever your role or stage of career, be it student, supervisor or professional staff member, I look forward to working with you in my new role.
