From contraband to community impact 

Avenal State Prison (CA) recently donated more than 400 confiscated cell phones to 911 Cell Phone Bank. These devices will be securely processed, refurbished when possible, and distributed as emergency 911 lifelines through law enforcement and victim service agencies.

This partnership shows how correctional institutions and community organizations can work together to create positive outcomes beyond prison walls.
