What a ROARING success! 🦁✨ Last night’s Lions at Large auction raised an incredible £220,000 for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity's The Big Space Cancer Appeal! With nearly 200 guests gathered beneath the stunning arches of Gloucester Cathedral, the pride found their forever homes — with each lion selling for between £2,500 and £30,000, and 20 sculptures fetching over £5,000 each! Together with the trail, the Lions at Large campaign has now raised an amazing £370,000! 🙌 We’re so proud to have been a presenting partner, helping to bring this unforgettable Pride to our beautiful Gloucestershire community. 👉 Find out more about how the evening went from artist, Christina Sadler, here. Artists take the lead on empty shops in Gloucester 🎨 Local artists are testing out ideas in partnership with supportive landlords of Gloucester’s vacant properties in a bid to revive the high street. Whilst initiatives like the recently announced High Street Rental Auctions are formulated, artists from JOLT Gloucester (the city’s creative incubator run by Gloucester Culture Trust) are coming together to show the power of creativity and small business on the high street. Member showcase: David Rees Holistic Learning David Rees Holistic Learning Ltd is an alternative provision, based at Annandale House on Eastgate Street, for neurodivergent children with SEND including: ASD, ADHD and SEMH. Annandale House is a beautiful late-18th century Grade II listed townhouse. Inside, you’ll find spacious and versatile learning areas designed to cater to a wide range of activities, ensuring their young people can thrive in an environment that optimises both education and enjoyment. Step outside, and you’ll discover the expansive outdoor space, featuring a large sensory garden, AstroTurf, and a vibrant playground equipped with a slide, football and basketball areas, and much more.
