The applications and integrations of artificial intelligence into everyday life are growing every day. AI-powered programs can assist with writing, organizing, research and much more. So it makes sense that AI’s usefulness could be applied to online dating.

Today in The Conversation Canada, Neil McArthur at the University of Manitoba lists five ways to use AI when online dating. It can write profiles, provide advice, find matches, provide therapy and, if it comes down to it, act as a companion.

“AI assistants and companions won’t be for everyone,” McArthur writes. “But for many people, they can provide a worthwhile addition to their social and romantic lives.”

And while the seventh season of our podcast, Don’t Call Me Resilient, is officially over, the podcast returns next week with a special bonus episode. You’ll get to meet some of our amazing producers who work hard behind the scenes to produce the podcast, and you’ll also get a great “best of” Don’t Call Me Resilient playlist for the summer. To hear a bit about it, you can check out the trailer in our feed.
