Who We Are: We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of thousands of knitters, crocheters, and supporters. We live in communities across the United States and Canada. Our Vision: We envision a world where every person has access to warm clothing and items of comfort and dignity. Our Mission: Knitting4Peace connects service-minded makers who create and deliver handcrafted necessities to families and communities in need, at home and abroad. The Create-A-Thon begins June 25th! Sponsor, Stitch, Support, and WIN! June 25-July 15, 2023 Help us reach our $4,200 goal!In 2022, the inaugural Create-A-Thon surpassed our fundraising goal, helped us connect to our national community, and allowed us to meet the need for our items over the winter months. This year, we want to do it again, but BETTER! We invite all makers, Peace Pods, donors, volunteers, and members of our beloved community to get involved in this event. You can help us raise money by sponsoring a maker or a Peace Pod. You can help us increase our inventory by making much needed items for our community. And new this year, you can take part in FREE virtual workshops and Create-A-Longs. Sponsor: Want to sponsor a friend and/or Peace Pod? Pick your donation level on our GiveButter page and then in the next window write a message so we know who you are supporting. We will then attribute your donation to that maker or Pod. Go HERE to start sponsoring! Need help with GiveButter? Follow our helpful step-by-step guide HERE! Stitch: The need for our items is growing and we need to prep for the return of cold weather. Peace Pods and Makers are encouraged to make as many Knitting4Peace items as they can during the event. We especially need mittens and finger puppets, as we frequently run out of these two items throughout the year. Make sure to follow our guidelines on ALL items so your items are immediately usable and stitch, stitch, stitch! When you send your items to our office make sure you let us know they are for the Create-A-Thon! Go HERE for all K4P patterns! Go HERE for finger puppet patterns! Support: You do not have to be a maker to participate. If you would like to make a monetary donation to support our programming and help us reach $4,200, you can easily do that HERE. We also encourage you to create social media fundraisers on Facebook and Instagram. Get your community involved! PRIZE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
