Celebrating Helen Britton as the tenth Living Treasure Master of Australian CraftLast night we launched the tenth exhibition in the Living Treasures: Master of Australian Craft series The Story So Far | Helen Britton. Working with Helen over the past two and a half years has been a privilege and a joy. I’ve learnt so much about the deep research process which is her creative practice and the beautiful, thoughtful things she makes out of that process to tell otherwise untold stories. Together we have made an exhibition, a book, a podcast and an audio tour for everyone to enjoy and dig deep into Helen’s story so far. At the same time it has encouraged me to think about my own story and the things that are important to me and hold fragments of meaning. Please come and see the show, listen online and if you can buy the book - it is a beautiful artwork that I know you will treasure. - Lisa Cahill What's On NowHelen Britton | The Story So FarCome see the culmination of 30+ years of creative excellence with the tenth artist to be nominated in the series Living Treasures: Masters of Australian Craft. ADC is proud to present this major solo exhibition featuring new works including painting, installation, jewellery, drawings and objects alongside the first showing of the photographic work My Godmother's House. Ocean Inspired PorcelainCeramic artist, Jo Victoria, is inspired by weathered surfaces, broken shells and bones washed up with the tides on the NSW South Coast. Many recent works have been made using natural materials found on the beach, dipped into porcelain and fired to leave only a trace of itself in the clay. In this installation Jo aims to capture the area where she lives, the light that filters through the banksia forest and sea mist rolling in across the bay.
