Leadership Day with the Detroit Pistons is back at the new Little Caesars Arena! Join us in 2022 to learn about marketing, management and hospitality from the leaders of the Pistons organization. Receive valuable insights from their experience, which can help plan your next school dance, fundraiser or social event.

STATE OF THE STATE CONFERENCE '22

Sporting student council T-shirts, Hawaiian gear, and dressy attire, more than 1,100 student leaders returned to Grand Rapids for the Michigan Association of Student Councils and Honor Societies State Conference, Feb. 26-28. Our host school from North Farmington High School helped create learning opportunities, and lifelong memories for students across the state!

One of the best parts of our annual state conference is to recognize those students, advisers and schools for their dedication and accomplishments throughout the course of the school year. The 2022 Leadership Award Ceremony recognized over 200 individuals and schools from 9 different award categories. Our partners at SET SEG continue to show their generosity and commitment to the MASC/MAHS Summer Leadership Camp and student leaders across Michigan. Offering 65 full ride scholarships worth $26,000! Make sure to add a reminder to for your students to submit their scholarship application! 
 

ASPIRING PRINCIPALS WORKSHOP

Considering building leadership? Know someone who is? Join MASSP for a full day of resume help, interviewing techniques, networking and more! 

This one-day workshop is open to aspiring principals, APs, deans and even current admins who want to take their careers to the next level! You don't even need to take a day away from the office - it's on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Plus, it's only $69 for the whole day (including lunch).

Students are the cornerstone of MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership. Each year, 30 students from across Michigan form the Michigan Student Board of Delegates, the student operations side of MASC/MAHS Michigan Student leadership. We love to see our students stepping up to the plate and leading our association into the future!

Research shows that building resiliency and life skills, promoting social connectedness, and encouraging help-seeking and help-giving behaviors in teens and young adults supports their overall well-being, helps them thrive, and protects their emotional health, making it less likely they will fall into unhealthy behaviors.

Join MASSP in partnership with the JED foundation’s Suzanne Button, PhD, Senior Clinical Director of High School Programming in exploring what secondary school leaders can do to shift the culture and conversation around school safety and mental health by focusing on two components to change and save lives:
