The London Spanish Film Festival returns for its 22nd edition
with a selection of some of the most exciting films made recently in Spain
And much more!
Packed with UK premiers, Q&As and superb talent, the LSFF starts off with
the screening of the complete mini-series
Anatomía de un instante/The Anatomy of a Moment
Followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Alberto Rodríguez, scriptwriter Rafael Cobos and producer José Manuel Lorenzo
With a Basque and Catalan Windows, as well as the section Letters from Galicia, check out the complete programme with films coming from all corners of Spain.

Dark Night of the Soul - Curated by Esmeralda Conde Ruiz

A new collective exhibition featuring six contemporary artists whose works explore the metaphor of the “dark night”, the journey through despair, resilience and renewal.
Taking inspiration from St. John of the Cross’ 16th-century masterpiece The Dark Night of the Soul, the exhibition explores how art transforms personal struggles into shared reflections.

Nua Dance - Who Do You Think I Am?
11 Sept | Culturvr Lab | Cardiff
Part of Catalyst 360 experience Who Do You Think I Am? Nua Dance's acro-dance interactive performance for public spaces that merges live performance with augmented reality to encounter migration perspectives.
Use your phone to discover the story of how Juan came to the UK and get to know him. Your choices will impact your experience.
Created by two immigrants living in the UK (Mexican, Spanish), the piece draws from lived experience of being perceived through accent, nationality, or administrative status before being seen as an individual.

Scotland’s Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival, IberoDocs, returns for its 12th edition with an inspiring programme of documentary films, guests, Q&As, exhibitions and community events celebrating the diverse voices of Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
This year’s theme is Tides of Resistance: The Families We Make, with a programme that explores family as something we inherit and something we build through friendship, solidarity and community.
With a selection of documentaries reflect on care, resilience, memory and belonging, revealing how people come together to face uncertainty and imagine more hopeful futures.

Brown Notes is a solo exhibition by Spanish-Welsh artist Rafael Pérez Evans, bringing together shattered glass, ready-made sculpture, live plants and sound to explore togetherness and defiance under the pressures of failing care.

Horizontals - Specially commissioned by Wakehurst in partnership with the Henry Moore Foundation. Part of five participatory sculptures, made from fallen ash trees, carved for the exhausted body.

IRIDIA by Soliman López

Solimán López is a contemporary artist whose practice operates at the intersection of art, science, technology and ecological transition.
His work investigates how information, memory and life can be stored, transmitted and transformed across physical, biological and digital systems, using technology as both, conceptual and technical mediator.
In IRIDIA, Soliman presents a living system of 128 AI-powered digital minerals, each designed with international partners to address planetary challenges from resource scarcity to climate instability.

Ángela de la Cruz : Upright
Till 06 Sept | IKON Gallery | Birmingham
Ikon Gallery presents rarely seen works by acclaimed artist Ángela de la Cruz alongside a new commission developed in collaboration with Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Guest curated by Carolina Grau, the exhibition focuses on De la Cruz’s concern with the human body and the realities of everyday survival. Her sculptural paintings – such as Still Life with Table (2000), and Bloated III (Blue) (2012), capture the physical dimensions of De la Cruz’s body and emotional relationships between strength and fragility.
