Ads must clearly be ads

Whether its shown on TV or through the social media feed of a celebrity or influencer, all ads must clearly be distinguishable to the relevant audience as advertising or marketing under Section 2.7 of the AANA Code of Ethics.

New gambling ad rules for online sport streaming kick off

The new online rules about gambling ads on live streamed sport kick off today so advertisers need to think about where and when your ads will be seen.

Community concerns about the content of wagering ads continue to be lodged with Ad Standards.

Say no to discrimination

The Ad Standards Community Panel considered complaints about discrimination on the basis of gender in ads about insurance, BBQs and cars using the recently updated AANA guidance.
